So has a Daisy vanished
From the fields today -
So tiptoed many a slipper
To Paradise away -
Oozed so, in crimson bubbles
Day’s departing tide -
Blooming - tripping - flowing -
Are ye then with God?
From the fields today -
So tiptoed many a slipper
To Paradise away -
Oozed so, in crimson bubbles
Day’s departing tide -
Blooming - tripping - flowing -
Are ye then with God?
Emily Dickinson
Leaving Daisy
Thus a Daisy has vanished
From the fields today -
Thus many flowers walked softly
Away to Paradise –
As Day’s last tide oozed
Into crimson bubbles –
Blooming - dancing - flowing -
Are you then with God?
From the fields today -
Thus many flowers walked softly
Away to Paradise –
As Day’s last tide oozed
Into crimson bubbles –
Blooming - dancing - flowing -
Are you then with God?
Just like departing tide, a Daisy has left Emily. She sings lonely an elegiac song for farewell !
